OEM Tires for 17" wheels on New A6??
TireRack.com has them listed as the Continental ContiProContact (Grand Touring All-Season); however, the Continental Website doesn't even show that tire. Anyhow I was just wondering how everyone has liked the OEM tires??
It seems (from TireRack.com) alot of older A6 owners really liked the Continental ContiExtremeContact (Ultra High Performance All-Season) tires. Anyone have any experience with those tires?
Thanks.

I had issues with defective Conti Extreme Contacts....
They would balance just fine on the Hunter (road force balance), but they were out of round and would cause a significant vibration at speeds over 50 MPH. Tire Rack took them back no questions asked. Replaced them with Pirelli PZeroNero M&S tires, which I like much better. Car is silky smooth with those Pirellis.
I think that if you searched for "out of round Conti" you might see a few other posts about this. Kind of hit or miss. Great tire, but I got a bum set, and I am not the only one. Best of luck.

I have the ContiProContacts and think they're great
I haven't been a Conti fan in the past, but these tires are changing my mind. They are quiet, smooth and seem to hold the road very well. They also appear to be very good when it's wet. I only put 1,000 miles on them before changing over to snows, but I've been impressed so far.

I have a little over 3,000 miles on mine. I get a slight shimmie between 70 mph and 75 mph, but not bad enough to take the car in before a regular service. Performance-wise, I agree with Maui19: quiet yet tight.

Yeah the M&S PZeros seem to have the highest rating in every category on TireRack with very few bad comments...The $140 price tag isn't outrageous either.
