Default Performance enhancement chip

What does this forum recommend for performance enhancement chips on Audi a6 3.2l. Year 2005

Is this something that can be done and is fruitful?

The 3.2 is normally aspirated and there is not much you can do with a tune on a normally aspirated engine. I think that there was a company that sold a chip but it was expensive with hardly any gain.

Unitronic has a chip for the 3.2. But the gains are minimal and it is probably best to simply accept the 3.2 for what it is.

Not to sound like an old man, but on 2005 you can gain performance by spending money on maintenance. replacing spark plugs, air and fuel filter, clean snow screen. Replace AT fluid and I bet you will restore more power, then you can possibly get from the chip.

If you want to get better handling - get better (e.g. more expensive) tires. even better dedicated summer and winter tires.

Sounds like good advice. But I have gray hair.

I got a sponsorship from Unitronic HQ in Montreal.

My avant is chipped. Better fuel mileage for sure.

Throttle response is better and low rpm power feels better.

As for overall gain of HP, i don't know, but like i said, the fuel mileage + gains at low RPM are positive for me!

Can you get us dyno charts for the 3.2 and the 4.2?

I would not recommend a chip only update. My old car was a passat1.8T with chip tuning only (80HP extra). After some time all gearbox, exhaust and suspension system got damaged as they were not designed for that much extra power.

This is pure bullcrap. My GTi was chipped for 98 000 kms and never had any problems. Same thing for my buddy's Jetta... 125 000 kms.

And please do not compare a chip for 1.8T and a 3.2FSi... Turbo applications are not even close to be the same. And the 80hp is also bullcrap. They give 35-45hp on stock cars. Stop watching TV.

As for Dyno sheets, i don't care about performance, so there's no way i will spend money on dyno runs Find any data for R32, A3 3.2 or any car running the 3.2, and the A6 should be exactly the same... same engine

Stealing a line from you, I say Bull Crap. Without a dyno sheet any claims about improvements is nothing more than a snake oil pitch. I hope that you got good terms on your deal for being sponsored by snake oil. LOL
