Thanks for the write up Kelisko, in and out is a bit of a pain in the a.. I did mine tonight. I had ordered mine from Wolf also and they gave me a bit of a break on shipping because I got 2. The next step is upgrading to front sensors. And maybe even backup camera

The C7 platform commenced with MY 2012, so his 2011 is a C6 platform.

Followed the pics above andI removed the entire trim pieces off from the rear seat, drivers side (left side) as described in the forum. Is there a chance that it is placed in different positions from Europe to America or rather from which side the steering wheel is on. I know it sounds silly but perhaps due to turning over different shoulder to reverse, better speaker position? Trying to think like a German engineer

Also, my local mechanic thought it was on the right (passenger) side but wasn't sure

First, your car should be equipped with rear or front parking sensors. Are you sure your rear or front bumper had the sensors in them? They are visible from the outside and can be identified by small round circles.

No Front Parking sensors, only rear. My car is a 2011 Audi A6 3.0T Quattro. That means it is a c6 platform, don't know why it was suggested it was a c7. Still don't know where the speaker/buzzer is. Might tackle the other side today, I'll let you know.
