Default Scratches on wood trim inserts what product to use?

I have a lot of small surface scratches on the center console wood trim, and was wondering what product I should use to take care of this? Some people had mentioned using mequiars wax on it and buffing them out? I am not sure of this so I wanted to check and see what you all use?

Thanks

Default I use Menzerna Final Polish by hand with MF towel. This is no different than swirls in your

paint...

I have tried the same, and come up with poor results. Wondering what I am doing wrong here.
