Default So after a few weeks of ownership I have only one complaint about my 2008 A6 Avant...

Sirius - more specifically the Sirius college sports coverage is completely, totally and wholly more useless than **** on a boar. Granted I've been with XM for years and I've been spoiled by the <Three Amigos>pleathora</Three Amigos> of choices but come on! Aside from that everything about the car is wonderful...

Anyone know if I can add the Best of XM to a vehicle sat-radio? If not I might need to look into swapping the Sirius module for an XM module.

Default The swap is easy

I just did it this weekend. I bought an XM tuner off the web. Took me all of 25 minutes to install ( I had to take it back out once to figure out that the optical connector had a dust plug on it ). Other than somewhat akward positions required to get all the connectors off.

Just make sure that you get a new tuner with the same amount of antenna leads as your old tuner. Not that it's the end of the world if you don't, but then you don't have to deal with splitters.

Default Hey Hokie, how do you like the sport suspension... etc. (bunch of quesitons)

You inspired me... I was sure I was going with a B8 A4, but now I'm deciding between three A6 Avants. Two have the sport suspension, one doesn't. One is just about off the hook with true S-Line, Daytona Grey and sport (I don't know which wheels yet) and everything else I want... The non-S-lines both have amaretto... tough tough call. Pricing on all of them looks good.

So,
How do you liked the sport suspension?
Anyone have a picture of an A6 in Daytona?
Anyone have a picture of the A6 S-line sport seats?

Thanks

Default Mine is Daytona, but I don't have any good pics of it.

Daytona is an interesting color. In this pic (cloudy or also at night) it appears quite dark, but on a bright sunny day it appears lighter than quartz.

Default Hey, glad I could help! I really like it, the ride is very very smooth but not floaty at all.

The car stays nicely buttoned down when cornering, very little squat and dive and even over bumps the ride is very very comfortable. Plus the combination of 18" wheels and the slightly lower position of the car makes for a very attractive profile. No monster truck gap, that's for sure!
