Stupid Garage Door...Wetsand hood? Will it match on daytona gray?
I cant believe this. the door kept coming and wouldnt stop. all this just for a short trip for ginger ale and ice cream.
Is it best to have it wetsanded and clear or have someone try to buff most of it out first? I dont think anyone will get it to look near factory.
thanks,
Brandon

You will be surprised. I good paint / dent repair place can do wonders. I had a dealer take out a scratch and a dent with this service and I can barely tell where the plastic box hit my door at 60 MPH. Body shop wanted $600 to repair and repaint, but the dent guys took care of it for $250. I am sure that your damage is far smaller then what mine was and therefore you should have good results if the right people work on it. Ask a local dealer if they have a 3rd party doing this service for them.

+1 - If you have a rotary (I have the PC 7424), try buffing it out with polish and a heavy cutting pad. If that doesn't help, then wet sanding would be the next step. check out some youtube videos on wet sanding - it is not hard. The hardest thing is getting the ***** to rub sandpaper against your paint.

Here is one option: http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Porter-Cable...item35a3e7d685
and get ScratchX polish from pepboys ($10).
