Thoughts on towing a 2100lb boat/trailer w/an A6 3.2 Avant?
#11
On the Audi Belgium site...
The maximum towing weight for the 3.2 quattro Avant 6 speed manual is 1900 kg braked and 750 kg without brakes. So, 2000 pounds is not OK if your trailer is not braked.
You need to put the model then the engine into the form to get the details (The French should not be too hard!).

With that light of a boat and your short distances, the car is certainly up to the task. You have a bigger problem however. There is no trailer hitches available in this country for a new A6 Avant. DiLan (sp?) is the likely firm to produce one but as of a couple weeks ago they had not. Currently there simply are no hitches available.
