"Characteristics"? Your transmission oil SHOULD be changed as per recommendation by the manufacturer of the transmission, ZF. Leverage the SEARCH and you'll see plenty of threads on what needs to be done to change it and also use Lifegaurd ZF fluid when changing it.

Or Ravenol, or Febi, or Pentosin, or the correct Redline or Amsoil fluid, etc. ZF transmissions are in all sorts of brands of cars and there's nothing exotic or special about them. As long as you get a fluid made to the correct standard, it'll be fine.

MOPAR dealers, for example sell the right stuff because a ton of MOPAR vehicles use 6-speed ZF transmissions.
