Whirring, clicking and whining noise when inserting or removing ignition key (video)
Hi,
I have 2007 A6 Avant (4F) with a 2,7 TDI enginge and 6-speed manual transmission.
When inserting or removing the ignition key, there is a clicking/whirring noise and whine coming from the front left area of the engine. The noise lasts for about 20 seconds.

It's been doing this since I bought it. I haven't noticed any problems related to this, but I'd be very interested in knowing what the noise is, and if it is normal or indicates a problem.
