I don't know if it's the highest, but I have 140,713 miles on it. Bought it in May '07 at 95k.
So far, I changed the AC compressor.
I love this car!

5.2 - 109,000 miles - dporschey
4.2 - 59,000 miles - kevingary
3.2 - 140,713 miles - liviugalea
In order to better compete I am thinking of putting my 4.2 up on blocks, start the car and put a brick on the gas pedal. I am betting that I could catch up to the 3.2 and the 5.2 in about a month.

Wow! I really like these write ups,informative!-Pierreb!!! I had the same problem with my 3.2 2005 Quattro.Currently at 69,000 miles .Purchased the car as CPO,at the end of my 2005 A4 lease.Last April 2008.Had to give up my 6 speed, do to bumper to bumper traffic going to and from work,plus corpotunnel on hands.The A6 has been ok,rear trunk had an issue opening and closing,warranty after $50.00 deductible.Then took the car in for an oil filter change,dont you know the Air bag light came on.Then again a $50.00 deductible,the dealer said it needed to be reset.
These cars are awesome.If they were not, we wouldnt buy them.

Note,Had The problem with my trunk.It was also COLD here in the North East.It would not lock.I had to take it to the dealership.Paid $50.00 (CPO)deductible and they replaced the Catch piece on the trunk.Thank God no problems.EL
