2012 A7 Radio, Key Detection, Bluetooth Issues
Hello, I've had a 2012 A7 for a few months now and the Bluetooth stopped working the day after I got it. The radio has become increasingly static-y as well, especially when the car is cold (live in Chicago suburbs) or when I have the defroster on it just goes complete static. When the defroster is on, I get the message "Is convenience key in vehicle?" that goes away after it turns off.
The dealer said that the rear glass is probably the culprit here, has anyone else experienced anything like this, or does their assesment seem correct? I do notice that some of the lines in the glass are breaking in a way, where they are almost not touching anymore. It just seems weird that all of those sensors would be in the back glass.
Thanks!

It may be possible. I've have similar issues with my 2012 A7 as well and can tell that not all of the connections are made in the glass like there were when I bought it. I have to press the telephone button and then my Bluetooth will resynch most of the time. Definitely an issue with the radio not as crisp either as channels that used to work don't come in at all. I found a good tutorial on fixing the broken connections just haven't gotten around to it and now can't find it either. You can buy a kit to repair the broken connections.
