3.0T Headers
Good morning everyone,
I am fairly new here; a new Audi owner as well
, and I was hoping to get some insight. ('12 A7 109,000 km/67,000 miles)
Recently my car was diagnosed with a cracked exhaust manifold; the mechanic suggested installing headers on my car because he feels from experience that Audi cats generally have bad welds and they tend to fail. A few months ago I had my passenger side cat sheer off on one side and he had to replace it.

- Are C7 cats not as sturdy as they should?
- Anyone have a sound clip of a C7 with headers and rest of the system is stock? I fear that if I go that route it will sounds awful.
- Any suggestions on what I should do here?
