Default A7 launch control stopped working

Hello,

I own audi a7 2012 3.0 tdi S-tronic. I have used launch control several times, but suddenly stopped working and i-m not able to use it from mounths. Does anybody know why launch control would no longer work or what the conditions that have to be fullfiled so that launch control will activate?

Thanks in advance!

I am told that there is a max number of times that you can use it and then it is no longer available. I will say that I am surprised to hear that a non-S car actually has this feature.

I've heard you're limited to 200 launches, and tunes can increase the limit

Wow. First I've heard of this. Why would they put a limit on launches?

So this is commonplace for most high-end sports vehicles?

Yup cause they don't want people who don't know or think they're car is invincible and for those who don't know how to correctly use it. You must first turn off esc, aka traction control, so it puts all the power to the rear wheels the when you power break it, don't hold back but make sure to release the brakes within 2-3 seconds cause if you hold it too long it'll overheat and inturn take off super slow. The manual says 2-5 seconds but in my experience, the sooner the better

Not all. Porsche has stated there is no limit to the number of launches with their PDK transmissions. They have conducted launch control events with journalists doing over 200 launches in one day.
