Does anyone know if the Audi A7 will be getting the new active lane assist and heads up display with speed limit detection in the U.S? is it part of the side assist in the innovation package??

Are there any details on the upcoming S7? Timeframe?

There is an interesting new color, Glacier White Metallic.
Price seems again almost 1:1 conversion: the A7 3.0 starts there at 58K Euro's and A6 3.0 at 51K so almost 1:1 for US pricing in $.
But I wish they would sell the 2.8 FSI here which would make it $50K which would be bit more affordable (well for me at least:-).
The A6 will be offered with 2.0 TFSI FWD so price difference between A6 and A7 will grow further to over $15K. I also hope they'll add 5th seat in the future.

US Configurator is up for the A7. Just not seeing new brochure yet online. I wonder if brushes aluminium will be an option other than S line.

Yes but European prices include 19% VAT so taking that into account the price difference is more like 4600 euros between A6 and A7 3.0T. A6 pricing is not released in the US yet, but it looks like a bigger difference here.

Agree without German VAT it's about 5670 Euro's between A6 and A7 3.0 and that's currently about $8000. But difficult to compare since typically US models come loaded and Euro models don't.
I also would not be surprised if A6 US pricing will increase little bit especially when they introduce cheaper base entry model with smaller engine.

The bigger difference between the 2 will be because the A6 will be offered with smaller engines. I was hoping US will sell the A7 with 2.8 TFSI (-10K). You pay clearly a premium for the design since otherwise the A6 is not that different in content.

EPA MPG for A7 would be 18/28/22 mpg.

Actually the base A7 here is not that well equipped for a luxury car, for instance these are all extras:
- parking sensors
- rear view camera
- color LCD display between gauges
- satellite navigation
- 6-cd changer
- driver memory
- shift paddles
- LED headlights
- headlight washers
- premium sound system
- four zone climate control
- ventilated seats
- heated rear seats
- power tilt/telescoping steering column
- voice recognition

The Premium Plus Package takes care of a lot of those extras, and would leave you about 64k total.

BMW and Mercedes are worse with options and pricing.

Audi has for quite often given you the most car for the money as compared to their German rivals.

I wont get into a $55,000 Mercedes Benz's coming standard with a pretty cheap assortment of materials. Mercedes and BMW want to charge you almost $1500 for the privledge of not sitting on vinyl seats for a lot of their cars.

The newer CLS might indeed be better. But the previous generation CLS was pretty darn cheap looking on the inside for an $80,000 car.

so I ordered a 2011 M3 Conv with individual interior with an msrp of almost 85K, two different cars but for 79K on the A7, I have all the tech + B&O sound system ?

A7 is a steal for the price. I was not interested in the A7 when I first saw it, but after doing a build your own on audi.com, with such great price and features it looks interesting. Will be stoping by the dealer once to check it out.
