A7 / S7 / RS7 Door Panel Removal
Hey guys- seems I could only find the Q7 door card removal, and older A6 card removal, and an A7 procedure without pictures. Here's a short write up for our incredible models. I've done an A7 and S7, I expect the only difference on an RS7 would be the connector for B&O sound system (Which could be on more than just the RS7 of course).
The trim around the handle is first. Starting with the forward most corner. This piece needs to be nicely tilted towards the rear of the car because the end of the trim piece has plastic tabs that act like a hinge.
This now reveals T25 torx bolt #1 of 3.

Now, here is the pic of the placement of the 7 push-pull plastic fasteners. The strongest ones you'll ever encounter. Volvo uses these same ones, I keep a couple in stock for if they break- but it will break the door panel mount before the fastener- look at my picture closely, one of mine was already missing, so someone's already been inside this panel. Start with a bottom corner of the panel by pulling away from the door- just like you think. Pull off and away towards yourself from the bottom of the door. Then work down the bottom of the panel unsnapping them from corner to corner, then start working your way up the sides. This takes more force than you think. Because of clearance and placement, I was only able to reach half of them with my panel popper tool (available at any parts store and absolutely worth the 10-15 bucks. I've used mine for more than 15 years. Then of course, the panel should tilt up off the door a good amount, and you just lift up to get it off the window track, and support it while you disconnect a few things....
Then, disconnect the door handle cable by unsnapping the white plastic clip off the black plastic mounting point, then pull the small anchor out of the handle mount- when you see it in person, its obvious how it slides out.
Then, disconnect this small plug.
Not far from it, you press in the small blue tab which keeps the purple handle from swinging, then swing that handle left - it will release the plug from the door module. This is the last thing attaching the panel to the door.
That's all folks. Soon to come is the mirror cover removal which is much different than the C7 A6/S6. The clips are a different design and placement.
