Aftermarket wheels affecting resale?
Hey all, sorry if this has been asked before on this forum.
I have a C7 A7 prestige w the blackoptics package and the 20" oem rims. Im thinking of replacing them with 20" RS7 rotor rims from the same time (like the look and offset better). The RS7 rims are audi OEM.
Kinda feel silly having 2 sets of 20" OEM rims. Would it impact future resale or trade in value significantly if my A7 had the 20" rs7 rotor rims (oem audi) vs the OEM 20" black optics rims the car came with? I'd rather sell the original rims if not a huge impact on resale.
Thank you!

Since you live in Chicago, why not put a set of winter tires on your other set and if you sell the car that is viewed as a bonus, provided the buyer is in a snowy climate.

Its a C7 so its an older model and all ready has significant depreciation that will only accelerate with more age. The C7.5 and now C8 are out which compounds depreciation.. Non original wheels will not impact the depreciation more than age already has.
Selling your stock C7 20 inch rims will not be a quick task and you will feel violated by what you think they are worth compared to what you will get paid in order to sell them. Someone already said keep them and have a summer and winter set but I can attest to winters in the Chicago area that having a dedicated winter set is hard to justify with the snow we get and the way they cities and state maintain the roads. Even with all seasons my quattro A7 has been the best handling vehicle I have had short of our old Grand Cherokees in the winter around the Chicago area.
