Default Anyone using something like this?

Although Audi offers a "foil" protector for the A7 loading sill, other brands offer folding versions that cover the entire bumper area. These typically connect to the cargo hooks in the floor of the trunk area, so the protector can be deployed and stowed as needed. BMW, Mercedes and Volvo offer these, and the Q7 has a similar version available.

Curious if anyone is using something like this; when our A7 arrives, the pooch will be jumping in and out of the cargo area quite a bit!

I have a cargo mat I bought for my 2009 A6 Avant that fits the A7 perfectly, so I kept it when I traded the A6 for my A7. It's reversible with rubber on one side and carpet on the other. It has an attached vinyl flap that folds out and covers the rear bumper completely. I bought it from an Audi dealership as an accessory for the A6 Avant. Works great. I think they're still available for about $180.

That's what I've been looking for! I see that this liner runs all the way up to the back of the rear seats? Can you confirm? Is it possible for you to post a pic of this liner in your A7?

TIA

Thanks Michael; looks like we have a winner! Here's the link to it from the Audi Collection site:

This liner has a seam in the middle that allows it to fold in half. When folded, the liner fills the cargo space perfectly with the rear seats in their upright position. When you flip the rear seats down and unfold the liner, it will be a little too long, but I either tuck the excess down in front of the rear seats, or else let it ride up the back of the front seats to protect them from the bikes that are usually in my cargo area. The liner in the ad photo is unfolded. I'll take a couple of shots of mine, folded and unfolded, and post them here.

Thanks! One more question, I have the cargo net, can the net be used over this liner?

The liner is not quite as wide as the cargo area. Its outer edges line up perfectly with the inside edges of the cargo floor mounted anchors for the cargo net. The anchors are totally accessible with the liner in place.

Default Cargo Liner Photos

Here are a few shots of the cargo liner in my A7. Shot 1 shows the liner folded in half at the seam provided for that purpose, its carpeted side up, with the rear seats upright and the parcel shelf in place. Shots 2 and 3 show one and then both of the rear seats flipped forward, the liner still in its folded position. Shots 4 and 5 show the liner unfolded with its rubber side up and allowed to ride up the back of the front seats.

I'll put a few more shots in a separate posting.

Sorry for the crappy pictures, but I hope you get the idea of what this liner is like.

Default Cargo Liner Photos

Shot 6 shows the excess length of the unfolded liner tucked down in front of the rear seat bottoms. Shot 7 shows the driver's side of the cargo area and illustrates the width of the liner (same clearance on both sides), which allows full access to cargo net anchors in the floor. Shot 8 shows the vinyl flap folded out and over the rear bumper.

Shot 9 is just for fun and shows a fellow A7 owner who often parks next to me at the garage we both use at work. There's a white one that's usually there too.
