The A6 Avant fold out liner would have been great if we have pets. I just needed something to protect the trunk from the take out Chinese dinner that made a big mess yesterday (wife didn't bother to use the cargo net to secure everything down) . So I dropped by my local Audi dealer today and got this liner. I had to use an Xacto knife to cut out four holes for the cargo net hoops. Fits very nicely, and looks great!

The nice thing about that liner that's made for the A7 is that it runs all the way to the edges of the cargo area and has a lip around it. So it keeps spilled Chinese food, and whatever else you haul, from seeping over the edges and into the carpet in the cargo area.

+1. I put it in the day I bought the car & glad I did BUT I wish it would extend to the seat backs when you lay the seats down.

I bought one too. I didn't know about the cutouts for the tiedown hooks. That would probably hinder it's water retention abilities (or chinese food).

I am sure it will retain Chinese food, it's the gallon milk jug that may spill over. Prevention is key, the tie down cargo net is indispensable to me, highly recommend this configuration.
