Audi Connect -- Is this true??
First post here. Picking up my A7 (Phantom Black, Prestige, Innovation, Sports w/19, Cold Weather) tomorrow. Was browsing for all information I could gather about the A7 and came across this article from the Washigton Post/Bloomberg. What was interesting was the following quote:
???? Is that true? Can I use any SIM card (with data plan) from any company? Or do these reasonably reputable news sources (BBerg and WP) have it wrong here?

T-Mobile is the data source of choice and Audi dealers supply and install the SIM card upon vehicle delivery. It’s up to the car’s owner to pay the bill but they’re not tied down to T-Mobile — any SIM card tied to a data plan will work.

This is true. However, the radio that Audi used only does 3G service in a band that only t-mo has 3G in. So if you want 3G speeds, you'll need to use a t-mo sim. ATT will only do 2g speeds in this car.
