Thanks!
I feel like I remember reading about on of the guys on here who has the dropped ibis white A7 doing something with a subwoofer. I'll do some searching and get back to you!

WEAK....or non exist.! It is terrible to sell a car with this little think called a "sub". I had bypassed mine, and actually placed a 10" in an enclosure....and ran a control and strapped it directly under my steering column. Works like a charm, out of the way, the best stereo I have ever had in a car (base option is what I went with for personal taste). Didn't play any games and was happy to give up the little bit of trunk space it occupies. Amp is mounted on the back of the sub as well, and didn't comp. any sound quality at all. Very happy with the sound, and when you listen with the SD cards, or CD, it is simply amazing! Shame on only three things from Audi only, the A7 with the cup holders that are a joke and impossible to maneuver with, the lack of a place to hold my sunglasses appropriately and access them, and the joke of a "SUB" in the car. Otherwise, clearly the best automobile I have ever owned!!
Good Luck!
Thanks
I had a Porsche 987S with the Bose surround sound installed in it. There were many similar complaints about the subwoofer; someone posted instructions on how to remove the subwoofer, actually fill it through the round port in the module with fiber fill from a pillow. They provided pretty detailed instructions on how to locate and remove the subwoofer (which was under the center stack on the right side on the passenger side).
I ripped open an old pillow and stuffed practically 3/4 of the pillow contents into the subwoofer - I couldn't believe how much it held, although the poster stated that the small subwoofer could accommodate a surprising amount. I then reinstalled the subwoofer and the results just about blew me away (no pun intended). The bass was richer and overall sound incredibly improved. I am by no means mechanically inclined, but if I could do it, anyone could!
I have no idea where the subwoofer is on the A7 and haven't had my A7 for very long, so at this point I'm still in sort of a listen mode. I'm throwing this out as a possible solution for some of you mechanical "explorers".
