Can the car drive itself?

With the active lane assist and the adaptive cruise control, can the car drive itself down the highway? I'm not advocating taking a nap, I'd just like to understand how well the "Audi Active Lane Assist" works.

Any comments (other than this is a stupid question)?

Very close it can but what happens is if you cross over the left line it will push back right then what happens is you cross the right line then the car will tell you to grab the wheel or something like that. But it is very close to self driving. 2014 S7

Lane Assist stops working if you take your hands off of the wheel. It is more of a nudge and vibration rather than actually steering the car.
