convertible option?

anyone know if a convertible is going to be released? I found info through Google going back to 2008, though no info on a possible release.

I think A7, like the A8 are too large to be made as convertibles. Secondly, A7 seems like a car made to be a hatchback only, so I don't think a convertible would exist at all.

I have seen a rendering of an A7 convertible model at an auto show. It was a hardtop version where the roof panels fold up and slide into the trunk. No further mention of it since that anywhere.

May work as a big 2 door but not as a 4 door as these images show (mockups by the way !) I kind of like the look of this !

Thank you for the pic. I had not seen that one. There is talk of a larger coupe and cab. An A9, but thought it would sit on the A8 platform like the Bentley GT. Basically it would be the top of the Audi line-up like the SL is for MB. The article was in Autoweek. You might find it on their website.
