Do you need Audi Connect to use online destination?

Do you need Audi Connect to use online destination?
I plugged in a data SIM card into my A7 and turned on Google Earth view under maps option and it is working fine. 3G is connected perfectly. But the "Online destinations" option is not showing up. Do I need to have Audi Connect for this to show up?
