EPL tune question

Will be tracking this discussion closely. I had a stage 3/dual pulley Unitronic tune done this week, with assurances from my highly trustworthy mechanic that there should be no negative side effects for the car. He makes no guarantees against intermittent lapses in judgement for the driver, however...

I had to go back to stock as I got a CEL for my cats. I have 75k and put like 150 miles with the tune on, and now on stock.....not liking it at all. Once you go stage 2 you will love how it open the car up. Mad quick. The "D" is waaaay faster than stock "S" mode. I'm just waiting for CEL to come on with stock tune so I can get cats replaced under 80k factory warranty

Interesting.... I also get CEL for cats on my EPL Stage 2 tune. Flash back to stock and the CEL goes away. Contacted EPL and they just said it's the cats. Not sure if this happens on APR or not. The 3.0T is such a beast tuned. Might just put some black tape over the CEL light.
