Default Got mine today

Howdy,

Got mine!
Havana
19" sport
Cold weather
Full LED
All weather mats
Stasis exhaust -- thank you, forum members.
Nougat
Black headliner

Wow.

What
A
Car

This car is just shines on the design. Yeah sure, they missed a couple of things. But overall, the design and attention to detail is excellent.

I've watched this car since it was announced, over a year now. I've had a serious jones for this car and I'm really happy about the decision I made to buy it. I'm happy to say it exceeded my expectations.

A few notes.
My fourth Audi. I had a TT, S4 Avant, S6 Avant. Definitely, my favorite. It's not even close.

Great job on the iPhone integration. The MMI is great, just love it.

The lines of the car are a work of art...I can't stop looking at it. On the way home I was driving by windows, so I could see my reflection.

The sound is what I'd expect for a factory install. 70k car, 100k car. Car companies don't like to deal with blown speakers, so they purposely restrict the base. I've already ordered a Focal subwoofer and amp to bring out the lows in the speakers. Thank you, forum member for your post. It's a clean install, no brainer. It'll end up costing me $1600. Beats the heck out of 6k for the upgrade. But hey, for all you who bought the bonus stereo, I'm sure it's great.

Love, LOVE, LOVE!!!, the Stasis exhaust. It takes the car to a different level. My buddy heard it tonight, said, "it sounds like a Ferrari". Never had one, never paid attention to one. But that's a nice compliment. He noticed the sound right away. If you can swing it, put the exhaust on the car. Just do it, you won't regret it.

The mats are nice, great to have. I ordered mud flaps, but I guess they don't work for the Prestige line. Rats. I'm going to figure out how to make them work, because that's a nice look.

I went back and forth about counter measures. I ordered a PassportXi, then returned it. I went with what I've had for years, a V1. The latest V1 is programmable now, I'll take a look. I need to get rid of shopping center alarms. I love the idea of a Laser Interceptor. But for me, I need to face the fact that just having one in my possession, is against the law here in the Color Red. But the LI installs clean in this car, so that's got me licking my chops. I'll wait another month or so, see how I feel about it.

Utility! So I had all 4 tires in the back. The car is great for utility. I'm thinking about a "MYSUV" vanity plate. Nah. But it is, my SUV.

5 spoke wheels. Dig 'em. I've had the 6 spoke Audi wheel on 3 Audis. This is a nice change. I can't say I like the 10 spoke more.

The power is fine. It's got more juice than my S6 Avant did, no surprise there. It feels just as snappy as my S4 Avant. Or maybe, just a tad slower. But big deal. It's got all the power I need...Not! I'll be doing the Stasis ECU upgrade when it comes out! Seriously. Plenty of oomph to be had as is.

Really happy about the Nougat and black. Yeah sure, the Napa is nice. The seats were comfy for a 2+ hour ride home from the big D. I'm glad I did the black headliner. Gives the car a great feel.

What A Car!

Default Gracias

And thank you to all the forum members who post here. I've learned a lot, got some great tips like the exhaust and stereo upgrades.

I also learned how to program the Homelink. Directions in the manual are off a bit.

Thanks again,

Gangee,
Congrats! I know exactly how you feel. Any 'quantification' about what the Stasis exhaust does compared to stock? I'm sure you've got some great roads out there on which to open it up, and to twist around the mountains. Enjoy.

Gangee,

Congrats! Sounds like a beauty! I was considering the mud flaps for my Prestige as wel, although I wasn't aware that they didn't work with the Prestige bodywork. Can you tell me what the issue is with fitting them to a Prestige model?

Thanks and again, congrats on the sweet ride!

Howdy,

Mudflaps.

It's something to do with the fender wells on the Prestige -- they're different. Not sure what exactly it is. I'm going to find out, though.

I never drove the car with the stock exhaust. I drove it off the showroom floor, with the Stasis. The exhaust is just...neato. It's a low rumble, but not too much. Then going off the line, it just sounds like a race car.

Wait. I did test drive the A7. Coming from 2 V8's, first thing I noticed was no rumble. So yeah, huge addition.

Tonight coming home from Aspen some guy in a hot shot pickup pulled up next to me at the light. I looked around, no cops. So I let it go. As soon as I punched it he looked down at me like, "WTF"? I was two car lengths ahead of him by the time the car shifted into 2nd. He drove past me with a look on his face of, "Dang. Nice car".
