Grinding noise when parked
Hello,
My A7 is making a grinding noise when in Park(cold/warm). The noise is not constant, lasting for a second before it repeats after 2-3 seconds of normal engine noises. The grinding noise dissapears when I put it in drive.
Any idea of what this could be?

You'll have to hone in more into where the noise is coming from.
Pop open the hood while its in Park and listen closely where the noise is coming from.
Is it coming more from the engine area or lower down further near the transmission? Would also be helpful to have access to a lift/pit so that you can listen from underneath too.
