Just recently I have started to experience a problem with my hatchback. If the car is running I am able to open the hatch from the door switch and by pulling up I am able to close the hatch. However, if the car is not running such as when the ignition switch is is accessory mode or if the engine turns off in "Start/Stop" and I'm in park I can still open the hatch using the door switch BUT I am not able to close the hatch using the door switch. If I start the car then the door switch will allow me to close the hatch. If I get out of the car a touch the button on the hatch it will close the door and I am also able to close the hatch via the key FOB. Any idea on how to correct this new hiccup??

I don't think you can close the hatch with the switch on the drivers door with the engine off. You can only do that with the engine on. However you can open with engine on or off
