Default Innovation package assembly reflection on windshield

Greetings everyone. Today I test drove a 2012 A7 with the innovation package. Car is great but I thought that the reflection of the actual infrared package or assembly on the windshield was kind of annoying, not the display itself with MPH, temp, parameters etc, but the whole squarish box as it's being reflected on the windshield depending on the sun's location. Has anyone experienced the same issues or am I being too A%^*( retentive?? Thanks.

I drove a 2012 A7 for 3 years, I am now driving a 2015 A7. Both cars had the HUD and the reflection never been a problem. To be honest, in 7 years I have never noticed it.

Thanks so much. The car that I am looking at has a window tint in front and the display looks a little pixelated and that may be the reason why it is a bit more obvious. If I buy the car I will have the tint removed.

The brightness of the HUD is adjustable. All the way up, and you will see the screen boundaries. Lower the brightness, and it should be less noticable.

On my 2012 A7 with the innovation package, I can see the reflection of the HUD box frame during broad daylight - especially if I concentrate on it. Consider it normal.

If you're referring to the sun occasionally reflecting off the HUD device onto the windshield, there's an angle adjustment **** that typically helps.
