lock and unlock the car

nov 2011 Audi a7 owner. I saw that the door should open as soon as you aproach the vehicle and touch the sensor on the handle. well this does not happen to me. Any ideea why?

IIRC it's turned on in the MMI menus. Central locking or something like that.

If you are talking about the sensor on the outside of the handle, that is to lock the car. Put your hand in between the handle and the car, and the car will unlock. Some people just pull the handle twice, but I got used to just sticking my hand in there and a split second later, grabbing the handle and opening it.
