Map Update 2012 A7
Just paid way to much for the dealer to update my maps, wife getting tired of new roads not being on the Nav system. Another thread talks about downloading the maps from Audi Connect Services. When I log in there is no down load button under services. Just a couple of ways to send locations and route info to the car? Do I need to know a secret handshake or am I doomed to forever pay Audi to update the maps on this car. PS. this is a US car and need North American Maps - this could make a difference I suppose.

That is the stupid thing, the actual google map/earth is updated all the time, but for the nav unit to use the roads you can see on the map, you have to upgrade at dealer, or download from dodgy sites....

I do not recall ever updating the maps in my car (2012) that I have had since 2016. Today I used the navigation and had no issues with it directing me. The roads around here (Boston) change almost monthly so I will give it more testing as I want to be sure.
