Other cars in same price range? Is the A7 too much?

I think really that the are no given competitors to the A7. Well, probably car that comes the closest is the 5-series GT.
The CLS obviously is the modern mother of the 4-door coupé. They are in a similar price range, a "coupe" styling and seat 4 (or 5...). But of me a CLS would be impossible. It's just not practical enough and the A7 kills the CLS when it comes to practicality (especially if you take the 3-seat backseat). So, for me. It's not a genuine competitor to the A7. The 6-series Gran Coupé is in a different price rang and can hardly be called a direct rival. The price difference at least in Europe is too big at the moment (almost $ 30,000 between the most expensive A7 and the cheapest Gran Coupe on sale today). The same thing obviously goes for the Panamera.
So while there are quite a few similar car, due to the "hatchback" design of the A7 with the added practicality it sits in a pretty unique spot at the time being.
If I could afford it, I would love to drive the Panamera (even if it's not as good looking as the A7). But a Panamera 4S with the right options is just crazy over priced.
