I have a 2014 3.0 TFSI and can squeeze almost 27 mpg when driving with the flow of traffic. I live in Italy so that means 80-85 mph without sacrificing too much pride. Driving like some of the locals I get about 22-23 mpg and you're talking an average of 95-100 mph on cruise control. I would estimate I could get 28+ mpg living in the states following the speed limit. Around town sucks as I get maybe 16-18 mpg.

18 to 20 around town; as much as 28 travelling long distances at 75 to 90. PS I didn't buy the car worrying about the mpg. If that's a consideration buy the TDI or a Prius.

Hi
I have a 2013 prestige, with about 28,000 miles on the clock and my average MPG today is 22.7MPG. I'm driving mostly in the city, or congested highway. In the winter time my average has fallen to about 21.5MPG

I am mostly in the high teens or lower 20's in my local driving.
This is a pretty heavy car, start stop driving and going up hills can really suck fuel down.
I have seen better than 30 on a mostly flat interstate, keeping it at about 70-75
For best mileage, you want to live in a place where all the hills go down.
