I had seen the black mule before, not the white. They are almost identical, except the white car has side reflectors front and rear which I have never seen on A7 bodywork before. Aren't these a US market requirement?
To me, it is only the quad exhausts that indicate this may be S7 testing. The bodywork, including the hacked S/Line rear diffuser to fit the dual outlets, seems standard S/Line. The Autoblog article refers to big brakes, big wheels, lowered suspension, and deeply bolstered seats. Most of the press drive cars in Sardinia had bigger wheels, same brakes, were the same suspension height, and the same seats.
It will be most interesting to see what output tune they choose for 4.0 TFSI in the S7. I think this engine will also be used in a standard tune, and also a high output RS tune. Not to mention the version Bentley are using. I hope we find out soon!

It's been annoying this waiting! I mean - VEEERY!!
But I read there too, anxious for some real news on engine developments. But I get the feeling that most of these pics have been leaked by Audi to either increase anticipation, or create misinformation prior to Paris. And now that Quisha guy is hinting rather strongly it is the S8 and not the S7. Who cares, we just want to know about the new V8!!!
My dealer keeps telling me that there are no V8s for the A7 until mid next year, and the S7 follows shortly after. Nothing wrong with the 3 litre engines, either TDI or TFSI. I have them both in my current Audis. But the A7 is a big, GT style car and will be suited by a V8.
And also, when stepping up the model range, and the price certainly steps up for the A7, it would be nice to have an engine that is not available in the A4 range...

Qisha is the guy who drives not one but two BMW's, so how can he be completely trusted!!??

The dialogue above with darkop was referring to whether it would be the S7 or S8 that would appear at the Paris show. Of course, neither did. The reference in the post was suggesting the S8 will now appear before the S7. No confusion that you original pics were an A7 with a US S Line body kit and who knows what engine.
In hindsight, I suspect Audi just stick dual outlet mufflers on some of their fleet cars to confuse people or make some news!
The exhaust and wheels on the black A8 looks more MTM than Audi, hard to say without seeing the licence plate.
