Sad to say...
I was really excited to get it ever since ordering it on May 14th but something just wasn't feeling right for me.
At the same time I couldn't think of any other car that I would possibly want in that price range that I thought was worth it and also really beautiful.
I couldn't put my finger on for a while....until we had the conversation on this forum about the age group that audi is aiming for with this car. I realized after hearing opinions on here...that this car really may not be for me. Let's face it...I'm 23.
I think I was in denial that it was a car that really was geared toward the 35 and over age group (nothing wrong with that!)
To add insult to injury, even though my dealer did help us out a bit on the lease...regardless, I'm still gonna be getting ripped off big time.
Lastly, as I said, I'm 23 years old and I really can't justify driving around in a 75K car (even though I do drive the r8 at times...it's still not "mine, mine") because really, wtf am I gonna want when I'm 35....a 150k car? Ugh.
Thanks for listening. I hope you all really enjoy your a7's...its definitely a car that I would like to work toward some more so it feels more justifiable.
I'll definitely continue coming back to see updates from everyone on their a7's and to see new photos.
I decided I'm gonna get an S5, Prestige, ibis white exterior on red interior and stainless steel inlays with the titanium package.
I'll be back when I get one (hopefully before the end of august) to post pics if anyone is interested in seeing! Trying to get the 2011 but my dealer is saying they're sold out currently so I may have to wait till September for the 2012.

Thanks Roho...it was really hard for me to make the decision
I didn't sleep much last night (pathetic, I know!)Post pics of your A7 when it comes in please!
I was hoping you'd be posting pics of your car at the same time my wife posts pics of hers. End of the month.
A little advice from an old dude (pushing 37). Buy the car you want. If the A7 excites you, buy it, period. If the S5 makes you tingle, it's for you.
This car is supernew, no one knows this car. My prediction is that it will end up skewing much harder towards mature 20 something's in the states than predicted. It's just so damn sexy.
Out of curiosity, what happens to the car you have ordered which is probably on the Atlantic now?
To answer a few...
Since it a lease we only have the deposit on it and since the dealer is our friend we can transfer the deposit to the S5 and the A7 that is currently being shipped (by the way, reading the line where you said its on the Atlantic right now made me cringe out of sadness
) will just get sold to someone else, I am sure.Funny because when the S5 came out I remember loving that car and I swore that when I had the money I'd get that car and it would be a white on red interior.
I'm definitely annoyed that I have waited so long for this A7 to get shipped and only NOW have we decided "we're getting ripped." Paying for the A7 lease wise ends up being like we're paying for a car thats 95K. I can't justify it.
I definitely hope that the car sells for a younger demographic at some point but I'm also really hoping that when I'm finished with the S5 I can get my hands on the S7 which is what I REALLY REALLY would want.
I won't lie---my husband and his friends (who is 37 btw) got me super hyped for the A7 but something was off. I couldn't put my finger on it (I constantly asked him if it was the right decision, etc.)
I think the big reason I stuck to it was because the A7 is BRAND spankin new and its DIFFERENT. The A7 doesn't look like any of the other Audi's and the interior is PHENOMENAL. That being said, I was never into luxury as I was "sporty".. aka my love for the R8. I liked that it would be a looker for a solid year. I have always been into "diffrent"...so that was the reasoning for the A7 purchase.
At the same time there was that uneasy feeling. I am NOT a huge fan of the side view (because of how much the back slopes...it looks squished to me) and the whole age demographic.
Someone told me people would ask me if it was my dad's car...lol.
My thinking is, I have time to get something thats 75k, when I'm more experienced in my field and making better money.
I'm jonesing for the S7 even though its not out...I know that I'll want it. Better start saving now.
Ugh. This is tough. Very, very tough...I know I'll be envious when I start seeing them on the road but I'd be envious of an S5 if I had the A7 instead, if you know what I mean.
Obviously I've been thinking about this WAY too much

or... maybe I should just say forget both of those cars and get a fully loaded TTS. Brain = exploding.

We actually just changed our order to white with black interior. My wife wants the aluminum inserts painted black, blacked out emblems and black wheels.
I just found out that the a4 wagon and a7 suspension are the same, so we plan to put some KW suspension on it too to make it look even more aggressive.
So if you want to make it young/sporty you can but ultimately get whatever you think feels right. I do think a car this expensive shouldn't be leased. They're a bit of a rip off as you can finance for the same monthly payment.

Yeah thats the main issue---I'm not willing to buy the car & the lease is just flat out a rip off. Right now, the only thing I would want to do to that car is throw an ABT kit on it and thats it. And those are super expensive, I'm just not willing to do it since most of our money on extra car stuff goes towards the R8.
