Start/Stop Function
I used to have a '14 A7 and was able to take it into the dealer and they were able to deactivate the function, so that it would not be active when you restarted the car. In other words, you didn't have to continue to turn it off every time you stopped and restarted.
I am about to take delivery of a '16 A7 and asked the SA if they could go into the settings via their computer to accomplish the same thing again. He looked at me like I was talking a foreign language, saying he had never been asked to do it and didn't know if he could, finally saying he would have to call the techies at Audi to see if there was a code.
My question: has anyone successfully done something like this on a '16 or maybe even a '15? I told him I would check with the users on AudiWorld to see what I could find out since this forum appears to have such a broad range of experience and knowledge.
Many thanks!

Edited to add - if you took your car (pre-2016 MY) to the service department and they "deactivated" the function, all they actually did was press the button on the center console. Nothing that you couldn't just do on your own.
