Switched from iphone to android - question about bluetooth streaming
Hi folks,
Switched from an iPhone 4 to an HTC one yesterday. I've got it to where it's streaming the audio from my music on the phone but the MMI is not displaying the artist name, name of the track or
elapsed time. Anyone know how to get this info to show? Thanks.

If the HTC uses Bluetooth 1.4 profile, the Audi MMI software (through 0566) which uses the 1.3 profile will not pass Bluetooth on-screen song info. iPhones starting with IOS 6.x software were switched to the 1.4 profile by Apple from 1.3 and have the same issue. Supposedly, according to some member reports, MMI software 0609 (found in late 2013 C7 models) corrects this, presumably with Bluetooth 1.4. I have not had success yet in getting my dealer to load 0609 from 0566 in my 2013 A6.

I need to correct my statement. I do see the artist and song name on the mmi when streaming music that is physically on my phone. What doesn't show is when I try to stream music via Pandora, slacker, etc. However, I just tried the new Google play music app and it does indeed show the artist and song while streaming using the free trial. Give it a try.

I finally confirmed that I have software version 0609, but I do not see this information when streaming pandora or slacker. I have a samsung galaxy s3 that I assume is bluetooth 1.4, but how do I confirm. Anyone else got this working properly on 0609?
