I will be taking delivery on my Prestige A7 with the 20" Sport Package in another 5 weeks or so and am in the process of exploring a winter tire package. I have read a few conflicting articles regarding the TPMS in the A7. Some articles say that Audi only uses Direct TPMS (a sensor in each wheel) and others say that it uses Indirect TPMS (no sensors - ABS rotational wheel speed). Does anyone know for sure if the A7 requires sensors in each wheel?

(I hate the sensor-based system on our '06 car. It's such a PIA in terms of winter wheels.
Some of the guys have figured out how to disable the sensor-based system and enable the indirect (sensorless) system. I suspect this will be posible ONLY on much newer cars. I'm going to have a look at the interface on our '06, but am quite doubtful going in.)
