Unable to communicate with Module 6C Rearview Camera
Firstly, apologies for any errors, and secondly thanks for any help, in advance.
I have a first gen, pre facelift Audi A7 with the headup display /larger MMI screen. The car has a reverse camera fitted but it does not work.
I have tried to replace the Rearview camera module PN: 4H0 907 441 for a known working unit, but to no avail.
I could live with the camera not working but the really annoying thing is, because it does not work, the display does not change when i go into reverse so I do not have the OPS graphics (which i could live with).
A friend did a scan on the car and said that there was an error where module 6c could not be communicated with. I have taken extra effort to ensure the connectors going into the module are not loose.
Can anyone help me as to what else i could try or possibly how I can have the rearview camera coded out so the car thinks it ONLY has the sensors installed?
Thanks again
Cheers, good luck.
From what i've read, i do not believe that the module uses Component Protection.
I'm tempted to re-post this in the A6 forum in the hope I can find more help as the cars are similar , just dont want to break any rules...
