Use of the Windshield Camera

I have an 2017 Audi Q&...I was in process of getting my windshield replaced and dring the process I was asked specifically if I had Lane Assist which i answered no to. When the repairman showed up he immediately notices he brought the incorrect windshield because of the camera there. Does anyone have an idea what the purposed of the camera is if i do not have lane assist?

You have driver's assist if you have a camera above the rearview mirror facing out the windshield. just look at it you cant miss it.

How do you turn on driver assist ?

The manual says there is a button on the turn signal. My Q7 does not have that...

You have the camera because you have adaptive cruise. It's used by adaptive cruise and lane assist.
You are also posting in the wrong forum. This is the A7 forum.
