Hi all,
Im kind of newbie in this area, but would really like to learn ho to change some settings by myself (with some tutorials of course, not just try and see
).
where to begin? what cable? what sw? I have the 2011 A7.

They are the manufacturer/supplier of both the cables and the software and there is a lot of good info on the website. They are also very helpful on the phone even with very basic, entry level questions.
There is a cable selection guide on the site, you enter the info of your particular vehicle and it gives you the correct cable you need.

Do an AW search. There are many threads listing the various mods that can be done with Vag-com.
