I think the drop off for 2018 was due to people waiting on the 2019 A7. But sales this year will show if I was right or not.

Id probably go with RCCOLEMAN response most. it's not necessarily that the A7 is expensive as we do see a lot of Porsche, M/B, etc on roads. but more that the $ difference in the A7 to A6 is a sizable jump and besides exterior design difference, the motor options, performance interior comforts can all be matched by both cars. I like my A7, I have other cars as well, so it not really a daily driver for me as I have 20" summer perf tires and live in NY I can conveniently leave it home in snow and cold weather conditions under 40 degrees. I have an A4 that I drive daily and put miles on. if I had to choose just 1, then I'd probably go practical and get an A6, as I enjoyed my A6 before I sold it and I think it gives the best of both worlds without sacrificing much on either side of luxury, performance, and practicality.

I find the A7 more practical any day then the A6 ha.

I love that there are not that many on the road! I love in SoCal and there are SO many Panamera's, Bently's, and Quattraportes! A well outfitted S7 (like mine) stands out, and I like it that way! Those who know, know!
