Default Tire Pressures

A couple of years ago, we took delivery of a Jaguar F Pace. The thing felt like it was driving on rocks. We checked the tire pressure and they were all set to 53!!
That's the pressure they ship over with to keep the tires hard and safe. But they are supposed to be adjusted during the delivery check.

Now 2 years later I take delivery of my 2019 A7, and again its not quite like driving on rocks, but uncomfortably hard. And what do you know, the tire pressures are all set at 46!!
Normal tire pressure is 32.

If Audi wont give us a digital readout of tire pressure like everyone else in the auto world, the least they could do is deliver the damn car with the right pressure.
So get down on your hands and knees and check that initial pressure before you hit the button on the MMI that says "tire pressure is OK"

Yeah, that certainly should have been checked at PDI. My A4 was the same: 46 psi all around

+1. A very good indication that the service people who performed the PDI on your car was not following the PDI checklist diligently. They probably skipped a lot of items in the checklist, too, just to keep up with the deliveries.
