"auxiliary heat"
Hi guys,
Would any of you know just what "auxiliary heat" is.
Ros Tech's application section shows a module for this function on the 2002 A8 but I cannot seem to communicate with it. Plus, I have no idea what its function is.
Thanks,
Albee G

Re: my guess is that is the "Rest" function where get heat for (20 mins?) after the car is off.
Thanks a bunch A8CT,
After studying the owners manual REALLY carefully I come to the same conclusion it is the only description that comes close.

Re: "auxiliary heat"
I guess you are talking about what they call "Standheizung" in German.
In short, it is a petrol fueled heater system made by Webasto. It heats the engine (by heating the coolant) and the compartment when the car is stationary. It has a timer and a remote control. It also boosts a ventilation function that is much more efficient than the solar sunroof.
Wasn't this option avaliable in the US? It is a pretty common option in Europe.
