Default "memory seat"

Fellas,
My 2002 A8 driver side "memory" seat seems to have a memory alright but not for my seat position. No matter what I do it returns to the farthest forward position when the button is pressed. I was wondering if the passenger seat control module could be switched to the driver side?

Default You sure it's not programmed for another key fob?

There is a procedure in the manual for coding it to a certain key fob. Each one gets different positions.

Paul,
I followed the owner manual procedure for programing to my key fob as well as the memory buttons on the door. The memory does not seem to hold even when you press the button on the door. Seat moves perfectly in all directions with the controls on seat side but for some reason the memory does not want to accept any new seat adjustments.
