Default While it is a lot, I think most people will agree that the price will depend on the quality...

of the chrome plating process in question.

I used to think it was a simple process, but have since learned that there can be massive differences between platers in how many steps they take to ensure a lifetime finish.

If I were you, I would check out the process they used to plate that wheel, but don't forget that OEM wheels can be very expensive. That depends where you get it, of course.

Anyone else?

I scratched my head for a minute with the same question. Then I remembered, he lives in New York! Of course, gotta have chrome!

Default Alright, some numbers! A new one can be had from genuineaudiparts for $273.00, but...

That's just the OEM coating, of course.

Take a look at this link. As far as I can tell, they use a pretty rigorous and thorough process, and that's why they carry the price tag they do.

If your wheel has been treated in a similar fashion, I would say that price seems about right!

Best of luck!<ul><li><a href="http://cgi.ebay.ca/18-Audi-OEM-Chrome-Wheels-Rims-S4-A4-A6-S6-A8-S8-A3_W0QQitemZ290290355658QQihZ019QQcategoryZ43958QQ ssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem">S8 CHROMMMMMMMMMMEEEE</a></li></ul>

Default I would think (1) S8 wheel chrome or not should not exceed $200

You could find it if you look around. You should be able to find 4 non chrome S8 wheels for $500-600 if you look for a while.
