These are recorded with a G-meter which we have found to be pretty accurate

When I was A8 shopping, I had my son run the published numbers to obtain HP:weight and torque:weight ratios for a 4.2 A8 vs our 2001 Boxster. The Boxster won, barely, on hp:weight (no surprises, higher revving engine), but the A8 edged the Boxster on the torque:weight ratio.

The car is quick for a big sedan. It may not be an RS6, but it is really quite fast, and will surprise people - like your mate. ;-)

My 97 A8 4.2Q gets nearly 5 seconds in the 0-60MPh and I'm running quarter miles in the 13's I will be posting pictures of my ride here soon.
