'04 A8L Anyone with windshield chips yet?

That dreaded question. I've had two little chips on my windshield already (big double smack from rock, but small damage, thank goodness), no crack but still bugs the heck out of me. I am **** about this despite having gone through many new cars with the same experiences down to having my windshield replaced in a former car. Is there a helpline for people with my affliction?

Get a spare 04 and limit your driving to your driveway!
There are glass shops that will repair your windshield without replacing it depending on the nature of the boo boo. Good luck.

I deleted my posts which removed most of the others in the process.
It was, all in all, an interesting bar fight. I think we've made some new friends over there and improved things in general. (Could easily un-delete those posts if you wanna see what you missed...)

Re: '04 A8L Anyone with windshield chips yet?
I'd get a glass chip "repair" kit from a local parts store so the chip doesn't grow any. Its easy to do, just some adhesive/epoxy and a suction cup setup IIRC. Cheaper than a glass shop...
BTW, when posting pictures, remove the "t" at the end of the url/file name, you'll get a "full size" image then.

I've heard bad things about those DIY kits, that you could ...
actually make it worse, your windshield that is.
I have a chip on my windshield from a rock also and have contemplated getting it replaced under the comprehensive of my insurance coverage.
