What are the major maintence concerns or recall notices for a 1997 A8 4.2Q?

My uncle bought a 1997 A8 with 25,000miles. Fully loaded, green ext with tan int. Its a sweet car!

There is a mod available that gives you the tip function that runs about $2,000, not sure if that includes labor though. The non tip auto functions as well as the tip however, if you find your self wanting for more agressive shifting but don't want to spend the money for the tip mod, drop the trans to 4th if you are driving at speeds below 65, or third at speeds below 40 and push the gear selector up (or down) between the two as needed. (D)rive is fine for almost all other situations.
