Default parting out car on here is waste of time

I have been meaning to post on here that parting out car was more of a comedy show than a serious $ endavour.

Will flip through the emails to get some of the best.

do you still have the transmission for the a8?

> Yes I do.
> It has less than 30k on a total rebuild.
> It is super smooth.
> Willing to warranty for right price.

And is it an automatic?

Do you have the light over the rear passenger

>Yes I do. Hoe much is it worth to you?

Just curious?

Lots of guys with pre-faclifts not knowing parts don't interchange.

i still have all four doors the fenders the trunk lid.
I even pulled the rear bumper with valance to sell to a guy before he realized it wouldn't fit his 99'

The egine is still in the car intact!
Yes I have had half a dozen dreamers ask me about the engine and the transmission but 6 months later....

mostly just emails and vapors

I'm not sure what you expected going into it but those are the items I expect not to sell. These engines last forever and the trans is trash. Neither is worth much. It's all about the small things.

And I'm not trying to make money off of this; just trying to recoup some of my losses. I bought the car cheap with the intention of swapping in a 01E and using it as my daily but thanks to a PO the harness is now fried. I wish I had another option.

Default A8 Transmisison is not worth much?

"A8 Transmisison is not worth much?"

that makes no sense, actually they are worth alot.

I have had many many offers just not worth parting with it.

Why? because the guys with money will just pay for rebuild $3200like I did.

and the dreamers who offer $500 for it will never get the money together to fix the A8 under the tarp on the side of there granny trailer that she keeps asking them to move because racoons are sleeping under it

but any way the point is you get people wating to buy the "little parts" but nobody has any money.

"can I buy the ashtray"
"sure $5"
sorry too much

have you parted out an a8?

You make a lot of generalities that I'll just ignore.

I believe you said yourself exactly why the transmission won't sell: "because the guys with money will just pay for rebuild $3200like I did." I will take whatever money I can get for them since I have no desire to have these things lying around. They are worthless to me.
