2001 S8: Any good options for front coil springs?
Heard a loud pop from the front passenger side while backing out of the garage and found a broken coil spring a few days later.
After a search I found that it's fairly common on the passenger side for the coil to crack near the bottom. Problem is that new OEM S8 front coils (maybe rear too) are no longer available in the US as far as I can tell.
Any way to find a new/used set of front OEM S8 coils (I could get by on one used coil if necessary) or any suitable aftermarket options that will match the stock ride height?
Thanks

Just wondering why you wouldn't use the opportunity to upgrade the suspension to something more modern? I just bought my D2 S8 (2003) and one of the first things I'm doing is installing a H&R Coilover Kit. Not to slam it (although you could), but to give it a tighter, more modern ride....
With a used spring/set of them you might have the same issue 5, 10, 12k miles (or not) down the road again as we know this is an issue.
Good luck
